Yanmar 3HM35F Injection Pump

Good morning.

I've got a Yanmar 3HM35F that I am certain the injection pump has failed. I get good fuel flow to the injection pump, but it barely sputters out the high side. My intent is to remove it and have it rebuilt.

I have removed the low side line and the three high side lines from the injection pump. I then removed the 4 nuts holding it down. The manual I have doesn't say the engine needs to be at TDC T in order to remove the pump, just if you are attempting to adjust the timing. I know there are shims I must save and reuse to keep the timing correct.

My questions is, am I missing anything on the removal? With the fuel lines removed and the 4 nuts off, the pump won't budge. Is it possible it is just well seated due to the gasket and I need to keep working it or is there something else holding it down?

Thanks for any and all assistance!

Ben
