I'm posting in the Boat Electrical Systems sub forum because I have discovered a small electrical device on this my newly acquired 42 ft Uniflite Sportfisher.*
I am beginning the process of upgrading the entire electrical system because this old boat, built in 1976, had many electrical components, most of which have been removed from the boat.* When I loosened the electrical panel to look behind it to trace some wiring, I noticed what looks like a security alarm tucked away behind the electrical panel.* It is a Securus Model L200-B and it looks like it could be a burgler alarm, but it could be for something else associated with the safety/seaworthiness of the boat.
It has three red lights on the front labeled, "ON,"* "Alert," and "Alarm."* It also has a DC mA gauge on the front that ranges from 0 to 1 in .2 increments.
It has a tag saying it is a model L200-B with a serial number of 30201, and it is made by Securus, in Los Alamitos, CA.
Does anyone have any information about this Alarm box?
