Keeping Fuel Bulb Pumped Up?

My Honda 75 carbuerated 4 stroke does have carb drains which they advise draining if boat is idle for several weeks. In the real world however, what happens is a planned trip or two are delayed for various reasons and the next thing one knows several weeks have gone by. My concern, I guess, is fuel evaporating in the bowls and leaving residue. [non-ethanol]. The fuel bulb is easy to reach and in a couple seconds I can reach in and pump it up. Is there an advantage to doing that and keeping the carb bowls full?

No, there is no advantage to that. Move fuel will evaporate leaving more varnish residue when it dries. Best thing to do is disconnect the fuel line and let it run dry.

Short answer? Drain 'em or suffer the consequences. Honda carbs are not forgiving of skipping this little procedure. They can't tolerate any scale in the bowl and are hard to get cleaned up when left setting.
