what type of plug wires to use?

I need new plug wires and the pricey boat shop in town wants alot for "steel core" wires. Does a guy need these because they are marine grade and alot
more juice is flowing through them? Or is a good set of accel wires for the automotive grade for less than half the price good enough? Would it matter if
the engine is O.B\I.B or 2/4 stroke aswell?

Go with the marine grade wires, especially if you are running in saltwater. The demands you are putting on a marine engine are much higher than on an auto or truck - running at higher rpm's, and the equivalent of constantly pulling a loaded trailer up hill. If you are running on a fresh water lake, and just tooling around most of the time, then you might get away with a good set of auto wires on and IB or IO. Never on an outboard.

Sorry brother, Marine wires only. If you loose a Cylinder while running because of Auto grade wires, your engine will run the chance of ingesting water. And then it will be all over.
