Hi guys, i have a 21 foot colvic seaworker (displacement) with a 1800 bmc diesel fitted, the wooden engine beds are rotten as a pear and need replacing (currently bolted to the inside edge of the grp stringers)
My question is, can i replace these wooden beds with angle iron? Or do i need to use wood?
If i have to use wood, can someone advise on a budget route that will last a good few years?
My stern tube/packing gland has no flexible rubber coupling
The engine feet are height adjustable rubber mounts (R&D)
Any advice would be gratefully received
