I just picked up a 1952 Sea King 5 hp motor. It is in nice shape but unknown as far as running. I read the post of this forum and got out the tool box and took a look see. The plugs look new but one of them indicated it was not firing. So, I checked the spark and it indeed was not sparking. I pulled the starter cover and lookin in the access port of the flywheel and the upper coil was cracked. The lower coil looks new. I will pull the lower end off tomorrow and check the water pump impeller. Thanks for all the information I have received. I need a manual too.....chris3
