86 DT40 weak spark in 1 cylinder

I bought a boat with a 86 DT40, It wouldn't idle, it has weak speark on 1 cylinder. Replaced the CDI unit (expensive) and change the pick up coils. Also cleaned carb, checked compression (ok). It runs better, but still the spark is weak on 1 cylinder at idle. :confused: Any thoughts or suggestions?

Took it out this weekend, could get away from the dock. After a lot of turning over starts, it starts blows alot of smoke as if it was floaded, runs and then with out doing anything it stops. Could this be a gas issue and not spark. If if it was bad spark, would it run? Still looking for some thoughts.
