1973 johnson 65 hp.... Compression question

I just bought a 1973 Johnson 65 hp that had being sitting for a couple of years on a boat. I bought it for $400 but the control box was all tore to hell and back! So I have no control box for it.... By the way it says it is a powershift 2, but has 2 cables running to the motor and a red plug at the end of the wire harness coming from the motor so I should be able to use any omc- Johnson control box and wire harness for this motor right? Anyway the compression was 120 psi on all 3 cylinders. Was just wondering if this is good compression for this motor. My Evinrude 60 horse 2 cylinder had 150 psi on both cylinders. So is 120 psi good enough for this motor? Thanks

My 73' 65 HP Evinrude has 95 psi on all cylinders.
120 if accurate is like new.
Those control boxesshow up regularly on ebay.
Usually over $100 though.

Ya the 120 is accurate.... I just bought a brand new compression tester to test it. It actually i lil over 120 psi. More like 123 psi. But I found a control box from a Evinrude 55 horse that my buddy is selling with the wire harness and all. That should work right?
