"Could someone please walk me through removing and replacing the prop for my 1995 Johnson 9.9 HP? I could figure it out, but since I'll be waist deep in cold water, I want to shorten my learning curve as much as possible (grin). Thanks, Brian"
 
"Take out the cotter pin, unsc

"Take out the cotter pin, unscrew the nut (spark plug size), take off the plastic spacer, pull out the prop. Carefull and do not loose the thrust washer at the gearcase end of the prop! Grease the propshaft/prop hub before reinstalling, and do not overtighten the nut!(fingertight an 1/4 turn)."

ya okay but the motor is only

ya okay but the motor is only a 10 hp--why not just remove it and work on it in a shop--why risk dropping everything into the water--
