hi,iam new to this forum,and need a little help.i have a 1989 basstracker w/40 hp johnson same year.yesterday while fishing the lake ,we started in to load the boat i was at about 3/4 thortl when some kind of alaem went off in the thorti box and the motor started lunging,like it was running on one cylinder, however when i cut the speed way down it seem to run fine,as i opened it back up it started to lung again .any ideas what i could of done.also i don't this has any bearing but i hit some rocks whiile fishing and torn up my prop peraty go.would like to know what you guys think.russ
 
If it is a solid tone on the alarm , your motor is overheating. -------You must repair the cooling system before using the motor again.
