How does the rev limiter work on a 94' 150?

Do you have a tachometer on the motor ?-----------Use a timing light to see if ignition is breaking up at full throttle.

Yes I have a Tach.
Would I sit on the transom at WOT while zipping along holding on to the timing light?HA_HA
Engine does not break up,it shuts down and will restart fine until it shuts down again.

No you would simply lay the timing light on a seat !!!!!----Drive the boat and observe the flashing if and when the engine acts up.-------Not sure why this would be a difficult concept to understand.

Sorry,no sense of humor,I believe I have stated that the engine runs fine, then shuts down, and restarts.Getting back to my original question,is there a procedure for trouble shooting the rev limiter circuit on a power pack?

The rev limiter does not completely shut down the engine, just drops ignition pulses to keep it at the rev limit.
If shutting down completely, change PP.
