1990 Johnson 48 special.......Idle adjustment

The motor is starting to stall when at idle for over 10 minutes or when running at low forward speed for 10-15 minutes......

I'd like to increase the idle speed slightly but don't know for sure how to do it......Any help would be appreciated......thanks
 
Look at the control arm of the throttle on the motor block.------Have someone operate the fast idle lever ( up and back down ) and observe the motion.------You should then be able to pick out the stop screw.-Adjust it to get the speed you like.-----------I strongly suggest a compression test if this is something that suddenly happened.------You may have internal engine problems.
