2000 evinrude 40hp 4 stroke wont run when put in gear

What is the history on the motor ?--------------How long have you owned it ?---------------Has it ever hit a rock ?--------Checked lower unit oil for water / metal bits ?-----------Checked your fuel supply for contamination / water ?--------Do you have spark on each of the 3 cylinders ?

i have replaced pump, new oil in lower end, replaced both gaskets below powerhead,new plugs, and a new gas tank w/supply line.
 
That 's it for answers ?------------------How long have you owned it ? -Has it ever hit a rock ??--Spark on all 3 cylinders ?-----------------If you were to bring it over we could try another engine control module/Fuel injectors / coils / what ever.
 
ive had it since 2004, it has good spark on all three, and i did try other injectors but no possitive results, what is the engine control module?
 
The module could also be called the computer at $1500.00 or so it is not an item that you want to try as a guess..----These motors are wonderful when they run, but loaded with sensors that all need to be checked out.--A manual is a must for those who want to trouble shoot. Have you looked into fuel issues ? Have you looked into cleaning vapour seperator tank and fuel filters ?

Does the engine die out immediately when put in gear BEFORE applying throttle?
Does it work if 'thrown' in gear and immediately apply throttle?
If YES on both above, your idle circuit/IAC valve or neutral switch has probably failed.
