I need to order a replacement shift cable. When measuring for a replacement cable do you measure the length of the outer cover of the cable?? Or is the overall length of the cable from end to end?? Again being new to the world of outboards I thank you for the help!! I just would like to be able to order 1 cable and be done than order 1 then find out I should have measured it differently.
