I was wondering if someone cou

I was wondering if someone could tell me the max rpm for a 30 hp. Im going to put a tach on and need to know what pulse tach to look for. I put another prop on I think my new prop is a 10x18 or a 10x15 not sure but i replaced the factory one with the next size so if factory is a 10x15 then i am using 10x18 or vise versa until i get back down to the country to check im really not to sure.

There may be a tag mounted on

There may be a tag mounted on the transom mount that has a model and serial number on it--
a random search of 30 hp motors in the 1980's have wot rpms ranging from 4500 to 5500.
