Questions for Joe Reeves

Joe, I am in the process of changing out the steering arm shaft on my 1990 200hp Evinrude and have a couple of questions. When the engine is moved out of the way and the big nut is removed from the bottom of the shaft will the steering shaft lift out easily from the pivot bracket or will it need some help with a hammer? The second question I have is when I remove the two 1/2 inch bolts from the upper mount will the mount stay in place so I can screw the bolts back in or will the mount drop into the mid section when the bolts are removed?

Thanks

The steering arm/shaft has always lifted out easily with any I've changed.

The motor mount will stay put as it (the other end of the mount) is of course bolted to the midsection portion of the engine.
