OMC 2.6 outboard igntion no spark port side

I have a 1983 SeaDrive that I installed an overhauled block on. I swapped all my electric and ignition that was on the working motor that ran last fall. Due to a cylinder head failure I ended with water in one cylinder and it rusted frozen last winter. The block assembly was identical as I had used it a number of years before. I checking spark I have no spark on one side. Looking for any ideas. I do have 2 extra power packs that I can try.
 
First disconnect the black/yellow wires from both packs an try it. Then replace the pack and if that doesn't do it you could have a bad timer base, stator or bad connections.
 
Thanks for your advice. I swapped power packs port to starboard and did get spark on both sides so I will clean all connections for good contact.
