help identifing a motor

I have a evinrude motor. can not find any markings on it would like to know Hp, year.all i have is a ser.# 10012-15333. ant oe have any ideas please let me know. Thank you in anvance.

10012 is the model number and identifies your engine as a 1956 10hp Evinrude. The remaining numbers of 15333 is the serial number.

where did you find the ser. number? look on the port stern bracket, the model number may be there. if thats where you found it then its probaly pretty old. post a pic.
