I have just finished draining

I have just finished draining my engine (24' Searay 7.4 L) Those block plugs are a pain to get out and a bigger pain to get back in. Is there any reason why I shouldn't just replace them with a couple of high quality brass cocks or ball valves? Draining would not require a contortionist.
 
you can do that. Replace the p

you can do that. Replace the pipe plugs with high quality ball valves. Make sure they are big enough to allow trash to pass through.
 
I did that on my last boat 27

I did that on my last boat 27 searay. It worked great just reach in open valve and drain. I also had them in the manifolds and risers.
