need help identifying 35hp

There may be a welch plug with the serial number on it somewhere on the block, Here's an example for you.

Looked all over the block and found nothing that resembles a plug...I did locate a number on what I would call the head...i imagine that's a part number tho...any other ideas?

Try posting some good photos of the engine out on the main mercury repair forum, Those guys are usually pretty good at looking at the engine and giving you a good ball ballpark figure of what you have there.
