early vs late production? Fuel leaking issue

I'm new to this forum, and have done some searches so as not to ask a simple newbie question, but I can't answer my own question.

I have a 1983 Johnson 90, model no. J90TLCTE, (serial no. J5833762 to be exact). I think I need to order some carb parts but cannot determine if mine is early or late production.

Can anyone please point me towards a resource to determine this?

Here's a summary of the problem I'm trying to fix;

I have fuel leaking from the fuel line fitting on the bottom of the carbs. I assumed it was from deteriorated fuel line, so I repaced every inch of fuel line on the powerhead. Strangely the leak stopped on the top carb but started from the same spot on the bottom carb. FWIW, either spot only leaks while the engine is running, not just priming with bulb. The engine runs fantastic as is, so I'm hesitant to tear into them at all, but I was hoping to have parts in hand, or at least a better idea of what to look for. Do I need to rebuild, replace floats, or bowls? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.
