I have a 89 mercruiser 2.5&#40

I have a 89 mercruiser 2.5(the gm 153). I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is the torque specs. for the cylinder head bolts.

can anyone help me please. all I need is to find out what the torque is so I can hurry up and finish rebuilding my engine. I would really appreciate the help.
 
My boat is a 1989 sea ray bowr

My boat is a 1989 sea ray bowrider....the outdrive said 3.0 but after taking my block to the machine shop I discoverd that the engine is a 2.5 and not a 3.0. The possibilities of the engine being a different year than the boat are good. So if anyone know more or less what is the torque for the 2.5l engines I would apreciate!

According to that website I gave you yesterday the 1989 Mercruiser 3.0, head bolt torque is 93 FT/LBS. This is the same as the 1980 Mercruiser 2.5 liter. As the 2.5l and 3.0 L have the same torque I would torque the head to 93 foot pounds. Look at page 85 of the above website and you will see what I'm talking about. Good luck."
