Suzuki DT225 HP conversion question

I bought and have installed/replaced the carburated 200hp powerhead with a dt225 powerhead. Mechanical work is mostly done.

I'm in the process getting it to run. It turns out that the powerhead was from the long shaft 225 which i've found out has a different throttle blade and a different injection computer - both of which the shop manual says will affect idle.

i've plugged one of the three idle air bleed holes in the throttle blade (the short shaft has two) but i'm curious what can be that different in the injection computer - what can be done to get it to idle well?

it will run if i fire it and advance the throttle to get the boat on plane, it'll run well at higher rpm but won't idle for more than a minute or two.

has anyone tried this before? and succeded? what have you done to make it work?
