Gas mixture for a 1983 9.9 seaking model VWB52299C

What is the correct oil/gas mixture for a 1983 9.9HP Seaking Model #VWB52299C? I've seen 50:1 and 32:1. Just picked up the old motor and dont know much about it. Thanks, Mike

Thanks Jerry! Replacing the hoses and the rebuilding the fuel pump shouldn't be a problem (assuming I can get a kit), but I'm new to outboard motors. What is the impeller and where is it? Thanks again! And I will post the results as you suggested. Mike
 
Sounds like your real new to outboards.
Get some kind of manual.
Always include serial# and model# when asking for/about parts.
Profile(fill it out)?? Location??
This site sells them.The library loans them!!!
Until then find a parts diagram of the motor.
I think this site sells parts.If not lots of places to buy older parts.


#18/17 is the drain plug.
#29/30 is the pivot pin.DON"T TOUCH!!!!

They are easy to work on.
Just remember ASK!!!No dumb questions.

i as well have the same motor but cannot get it to start i have cleaned the carb and it is getting fuel. changed the plugs but i dont think any spark is even getting to them any help or advice

You might be close to someone who can help?
You should start your own thread.
The points under the flywheel probably need to be cleaned/filed.
