Water Pump issue on 2001 Honda 50hp Tiller.....Help

I bought a used Honda 50hp Tiller Handle. The engine runs fine, but the "pee stream" was in between nothing and a dribble. I dropped the lower lower unit and examined the impeller and it looked fine. Reinstalled the lower unit and now nothing at all. I was wondering what else I could check versus taking it to a mechanic.......Thanks
 
Take off the pee tube and unthread the brass fitting that goes into the block.
Clean that fitting out, could be plugged with salt, small debris.
Poke a piece of wire into the passage to dislodge any more junk.
Stand back, as water will blast out the port as soon as it's clear.
 
Hey I figured it out. The rocket scientist that changed the water pump last did not install the "key" up against the shaft which holds the impeller and allows it to spin. A part that costs less than 5 cents and is EXTREMELY intergral in moving the impeller. Thanks anyway PROBLEM SOLVED
