Toasted Water Pumnp

I did the unthinkable…I started my 2007 4-stroke 8TF Yammy and the water intake was out of the water. Normal result, toasted the impeller or whatever is in there. Now I have to find the water pump and replace the busted part. Can anyone point me to a web page or other instruction on how to change out the affected part?

Crestec has manuals. Otherwise it is very basic. Google it. Also if you cooked the pump you may have popped the thermostat. Need to check and change if it is stuck open.
 
I was able to register for the appropriate online manual from Marine Engine.com and found supplemental iinfo by googling. Thanks for the reply PBRMAN
 
Not a big deal.. As a 2007 you could probably use a full water pump rebuild kit anyway including the housing for everything. Not the end of the world... A cheap fix compared to most.
