I have a 1988 Mercury 115 with the Quicksilver Remote Control Box...Yesterday, when shifting to forward, and moving the throttle lever 3/4 of the way to full speed, the red lever clicks and locks the throttle lever in the forward position, just like it does when the throttle lever is in the neutral position...The only way to unlock it and return it to neutral is to pull up on the red lever which will unlock it...When I engage reverse, it works fine...red lever stays in the up position and does not lock...
