I have a 1985 sea ray omc stern drive i/o I need to tow my boat about 200 miles I would like to get a transom support bar for trailering but i don't know how or where to connect it to the stern or trailer what kind to get or where I keep seeing all differnt kinds please help thanks

the transom of a 1985 OMC is not supporting and weight of the drive or engine at all. A 1985 is a stringer mount drive system which means the engine and drive are bolted to the stringers a couple of feet forward of the transom.
I would however, put a strap under the outdrive in case the tilt clutch is faulty. You can simply tie a rope from cleat to cleat across under the anticavitation plate of the drive.
Also, generally, no i/o boats require trailering support of the drive.
