Tach guage combination for BF150?

2005 BF150 coming from yamaha engine and i've decided to replace the yamaha tach guage so i can get a guage that shows warnings in the sensors ect. I'm looking for a digital tach, possibly with trim indicator ect...what are my options for this motor of this age?

The only digital tach that Honda offers is part # 06375-ZY3-802 http://marine.honda.com/products/accessories/gauge-sets
It does have a trim indicator and warning indicators.

You will need that associated harness # 06326-ZY3-802AH.

You can check out the owner's manual http://marine.honda.com/pdf/manuals/31ZY3800.pdf It includes the speedometer as well as the tachometer.

The 150 was not NMEA 2000® compatible until 2007... so any option using that technology is out.

Will these gauges work on the 2004 BF150?

Yes, they will work. The accessory book is a little misleading, but it you check the owner's manual pp 93-95 and p 115 http://marine.honda.com/pdf/manuals/31ZY6601.pdf they show the functions and connections.

If you have the original wiring harness from your engine to the helm, you may have to add, you might have to run a 6 wire wiring harness. They were making changes to the main harness right around that period of time.

Check the connectors on the wiring diagram by checking for the color coded wires. That will tell you if you need to add anything. Most likely, you will not have to.
