What the heck is that noise??

Getting ready for season and took boat to get fuel. When I trimmed the engine up for trailering, the trim made several loud popping noises. Low on oil or saltwater claiming another victim?
Not sure if it is something I can fix and avoid the budget and appropriations director at home?
 
What happens here is that corrosion gets inbetween the bushings and the aluminum housings and really jams things up.--------------A good cleaning / scraping of bores where bushings fit will make it like new again.
