Hi,
I have just purchased a boat with a 9.9 Mariner on it. I am trying to find out what year it is (searched everwhere). The serial no is 9566979 and was made in Belgium.
On another note my brother has a 96-97 model 9.9m Mariner which seems to rev harder and go faster than mine (have tried both on my boat). Under the cowl the motors look identical however he has 2537-47a stamped on his carby and mine has 3040-23. Is there any difference between these? We are also running the same props.
Any help would be greatly appreceiated.
