BF130 fuel filters

c-level

I'm getting ready to change out my fuel filters and am trying to get a filter list. The fuel/water separator is a 60 GPH Racor Fuel/Water Replacement Element 17670-ZW1-801AH. I also saw two filters under the cowling that come directly from the gas line. One of them said "Taiyo Giken R27" and had the in/out fittings on the same side, I cannot figure out what is the replacement part for this filter. The other was below that and had the in/out at a 90 degree angle, I'm guessing it is similar to a Sierra Fuel Filter (Honda) 18-7720?

Does anyone have the part number/type for these two inline filters? I've seen a billion of them online and can't figure out which ones to order and the Honda Manual does not list them either. Thanks!

Go to Boats.net. Click on "Honda parts", then click on "Honda outboard" and chose the model and year of your BF130. Scroll down to "water separator" and identify the part number of filter. Once you get the part No. of all the filters/parts you need from the various fiches, you can order from Boats.net or find another Honda dealer online. good luck

I think you are a little off track...

You need to look at a later version of the 130. The 2001 that you are seeing, now has a more current vapor separator and an added water separator (that you are thinking is a filter). part #4 http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Honda/Outboard%20Engine/2004/BF130A4%20LA%20VIN%23%20BZBE-1500001%20TO%20BZBE-1599999/FUEL%20PIPE/parts.html There is nothing to change there.

Besides the Racor external filter that you have, the motor has one low pressure filter (the 90 deg one)..part # 3 http://www.boats.net/parts/search/H...1500001 TO BZBE-1599999/LOWER CASE/parts.html ,

one high pressure filter (inside the vapor separator)part #38 http://www.boats.net/parts/search/H...01 TO BZBE-1599999/VAPOR SEPARATOR/parts.html ,

and one filter for the breather for the vapor separator (you will see inserted in a hose vertically....midway up the starboard side of of the motor...part #13 http://www.boats.net/parts/search/H...-1500001 TO BZBE-1599999/FUEL PIPE/parts.html

Hope this helps.

Hi Guys! Bringing back an old thread so as to not spread around information. I've got a few recreational hours on the motor now after replacing some hard parts last summer. Everything is going great. I recently preformed oil/filter/plug changes and thought I would turn to the fuel side next.

I'm looking for help identifying the correct fuel supply filters I need for my model - there is a lot of confusion on the parts sites depending on what you have. It's a 99 BF130 and this is a picture from last year https://www.dropbox.com/s/0nq8rxz8gwq1g1x/Photo Aug 06, 8 17 34 PM.jpg?dl=0

I might as well do the impeller and lower unit gear oil since those are easy. I looked at the impeller and it was like-new < 4 hours ago. It had great pressure at the water pisser afterwards, but just recently I noticed it has reduced to just a dribble. Before reassembly I cleaned a lot of sand and crushed shell out of the lower unit water passages and they still flow well on the hose today. I'm hoping it's just more gunk elsewhere that will be easy to remove but if not I want to have a new impy ready to install. Again, there are a lot of part #s and I'm not sure if it requires all the parts in the 'kit' or if it's OK to just replace the rubber part itself.

Thanks!

Another $175 in OEM Honda parts.... I just have to keep reminding myself how much money I'm saving by doing it all myself. It runs *fine* but I want it to run *best*.
