I checked the power steering fluid reservoir and it had turned into a pink paste, meaning seawater contamination (correct?).
One or both of the sterndrives' power steering cylinders must be letting seawater in (correct?).
One mechanich suggests he checks which one (or both) and replaces accordingly for about EURO 900 each (new). Another suggests repairing them for about EURO 300 each. Any suggestions - comments - experience? Do repairs last?
