winter storing the 2006 horizontal?

Would it be bad to store the Honda 15 horizontally for 5 months? Want to put it in the back porch, maybe taking it there in a lil' wagon. I could stand it up once it was there, as I dont have a cart yet. Getting to be too much to take it down and then up the basement stairs. I believe it was shipped to the dealer horizontally. (Was there oil inside motor upon leaving the factory?) Thanks much.
 
There likely are 2 " pads " on one side of the cowling.----------------The motor can lay horizontal on them all winter long.
 
I agree with racerone. I would only add that, before starting the motor (any outboard) after laying it down like that, even for a short period, I would remove the spark plug and rotate the engine a few revolutions with the kill switch key removed. This will prevent possible engine damage should any oil have seeped up into the combustion chamber.
