Dumb OMC question

Getting ready to winterize and the manual talks about a closed cooling system on the 3.8 liter 2v. I have a 3.8 liter but not sure if it's the 2v or 4v. Also, closed cooling to me means it has coolant so I'm not sure how it could be closed if it still depends on water from the lake to cool.
 
if there's no tank with a radiator cap on it anywhere onboard, then you have regular raw water cooling

2V = 2 barrel (venturi) carb = 170HP
4V = 4 barrel =185HP
 
Closed system means the actual motor is cooled with anti-freeze.The heat exchanger is then cooled with sea water.
Kinda like a radiator system.Only cooled with water.
You probably don't have a closed system.Post some pics.J
