I have a 2004 Lowe 170WV, with a 115 Yamaha outboard. My problem is that the tach is stuck on 1000 rpm, this does not change key on or off, motor on or off. What I was told is that there is probably a ground problem. I have taken a mirror to observe the back of the tach, all of the wire terminals are bright and shinney with no signs of rust. Please let me know what to look for next.
