WOT RPM for '92 Merc 25?

What should the rpm be at WOT on my '92 25Hp? Presently its 4800 rpm and I feel that is too low.

You are running a little low. It should be between 5000 and 6000 RPM.

Thanks for responding with the answer. Next question, if I may: Would it be better that my WOT rpm is closer to, but below, 6000 than between 5k and 5500?

I would shoot for 5500 with a normal load.

5500 was what I was thinking and will shoot for. Thanks alot!
Now to find the least expensive place to buy a prop from to experiment with.
