I had a similar problem on a Sea Ray 270 5.7 after the engine was pulled to replace the coupler the connector for the electrical to the engine had some corrosin on a couple of pins causing a 1 beep alarm which there isn't one either it's a steady alarm or I think 3 beeps for drive lube. I cleaned the connectors and put dielectric paste on it. The other cause it might be is your CO alarm going off don't know what type of boat you have but it will sound at the helm and cabin on mine next time it goes off go inside and check the CO monitor. It sounds like it could be your CO alarm is the cabin door open for a station wagon effect.

If that does not work go to a Merc dealer and get your codes read. Go from there.
Solid alarm at high rpm sounds like it could be low cooling water pressure.
