Suzuki 1999 DF60TL high pressure fuel pump won't run

I have heard that the fuel pump can be freed up and made to run by using cleaning chemicals. Anybody out there know about this? What should I use to try this method? I'm thinking carburator cleaner, but would like to hear from someone who has had success with this method. otherwise i am faced with $350 or more in parts, much less the work involved in replacing the fuel pump. Thanks
 
Any automotive carb. Cleaner will work...spray into fuel inlet and try cleaning/ or freeing with small tool/ pipe cleaner. Repeat this step as many times as your patience allows, put ing power to the pump in between cleaning, try to reverse rotation of the pump in the process. I may have a used df60 1999 hpsi fuel pump... 9858723314 ask for beau.
