I have a 1986 21ft Renken OMC Sterndrive. The steering has locked up. We tried to locate a boat place to get it repaired but all of them have told us it is too old, cannot find parts, too intricate to find the problem, and also cannot convert it to a more modern steering method.
We just spend tons of money on the engine and a brand new transom seal.
Is our only option to send it to a junk yard or any suggestion of what can be done.
