Bayliner Ciera wiring

How complicated is wiring in an older Bayliner Ciera? It's not fuel injected or anything. I've been looking at one but it has an electrical problem. The guy said it was on the water 3 weeks ago and now the starter's not turning over and he doesn't want to mess with it. He thinks it's the ignition switch but obviously electrical problems are no fun. It could be the emergency shutoff switch, a fuse, short, the starter, etc. I'm fairly handy electrically but I don't want to be buying this boat and never be able to figure it out. The guy had his car blow up and needs money so it's a steal. In fact, when I talked to him I asked why it was priced so low and he said he just needs the money. When I look at the boat I will be going over it with a fine tooth comb but even if the motor is blown it is worth more than he's asking. I just don't want to be chasing an electrical nightmare.
