Printable Service Manual for a 1987 OMC Cobra

In need of a Service manual for a 1987 omc cobra 5.0. I have a water leak behind the outdrive/lower unit and it needs to be taken off but do not want to move forward without a Manual.. Printable would be helpful Thanks
 
Did you ever find a manual? I have the same issue. Would replacing the seals be a do-it-yourself job? Which seals would you replace? Thanks for any help.
 
No I never found a Printable Service Manual. I think it may be the seals beacuse this year I had it in a shop and they put the outdrive on for me and it dident leak for the longest time but now it is leaking in from behind it but cant tell from where untill I pull it off and never did this before so kind of want a maual by myside.
 
Leaking where??? Inside the boat or out?
There is a passage by the gimbal that if it's leaking into the boat that means the bellows is torn or loose.The exhaust tube has a seal that can leak too.
It's VERY easy to drop the Cobra drive.
Remove the trim rams bolts and shaft.Then 6 nuts and it should come right out.
Fill out the profile you might be close to someone who can help.
