When I bought this boat (owned for 2 yrs), I have always had to nurse the throttle through into high RPM's, if you gave it full throttle it would stall, otherwise the motor seemed to run fine. Recently I was underway and let off the throttle to idle and now after about half throttle I loose all power and it "bogs". I have always kept plenty of Sta Bil in the fuel (way more than necessary) as it states you cannot overtreat, most of the time a full bottle in a 5 gal can of gas as the boat sits for long periods of time.
I'm wondering what the symptoms are of a bad fuel regulator (268.00 part). Injectors cleaned, fuel pump cleaned, fuel water separator new, tested with external gas tank, pressure on rail reads fine, internal resevoir (sorry technical name escapes me) ultra sonic cleaned. Same issue, nothing has changed. The pressure regulator is badly rusted. Just wondering if this could be my issue. Thanks in advance for any advice!
