hey guys, new to the owning boat world,
bought a 78 crestrider with a mid '80s, 80hp 2 stroke merc outboard on the back.
here is my problem, the tilt does not work, thats fine.. BUT, when i manually lifted the motor for the first time to transport(backing out the manual unlock for the tilt, and raising it by hand.) and now, it will only go half way down, it runs fine all the way down, 34mph, great to fish in.
I just NEED to get the motor down. is there any way to drain the oil to release it? another little release knob i dont know about? any help would be GREATLY appreciated, I really need this boat in the water for a local fishing derby next week
