idlling a 125 on all four carbs

i have a 2003 125 merc saltwater series. we drilled out the bottom 2 carbs and put idle adjustment screws in. can this damage the motor in any way?
 
Interesting...I have the same 2+2 motor and have wondered about how that might work...did you make linkage adjustments...how did the idle speed change...does it start easier? I cant see any damage occurring...how is the fuel economy?
 
it starts reel nice and idles good. i puy bigger jets in for the ehenol gas but i think to big because it only runs real good with the hood and air cover off. im going to back the jet size back to factory. if that doesnt work i mite have a bad reed. the way it is now there is excees gas in carbs when i shut it off. it also act like it needs alot of air?? il keep you posted.
