2009 200 hp wont rev beyond 4600

2009 200 hp will not rev beyond 4600 rpm. Fuel filters have been changed and anti-syphon valve checked. Engine ran without issue on Monday, last night problem began after launching.

No alarms nor indications of problems at lower rpms.

This evening I will bypass the main fuel tank with a jerry jug to elimnate fuel problems.

Any ideas?

Let's start with a little more background info.

What was it previously running at and when? eg. a week ago I was getting 5400 rpms or last fall before it was layed up etc

Were you loaded any different than "normal" - say had three buddies on board and normally go out by yourself.

Just trying to determine first off if it was an "added weight" issue or "too much prop" (if the prop was "fitted" in cooler weather you can expect a 10-15% performance decrease in hot/humid weather).
