Just hoping someone might be able to help.
We have a 122P-B and the EDC has not functioned properly since new, (engine purchased second hand 4 years ago). The engine has to be calibrated before every start up. Volvo dealer cant seem to fix and no one can help. EDC has finally stopped working and now the motor will not start due to some errors coming up. We have decided to remove all the EDC components and rewire the crutial components. Starter motor, all guages etc etc.
The 122P-A is the non EDC version of this engine. Just wondering if anyone has ever removed the EDC on these particular models. Hoping we might only need Mechanical Governor but could need to replace the fuel pump aswell.
Any input would be much appreciated but could be a very long shot.
