What do you mean the bulb loses it's prime? It is normal for the bulb to be soft when the motor is running but not collapsed. Check all you fuel lines and make sure they are soft and pliable with no cracks. Especially the primer bulb as it is always the first to go.
 
I have replaced the bulb as well as fuel lines. If you idel for just a few minutes like waiting to take off in a tournament the motor will sputter and die. The fuel bulb at that point has to be pumped back up. When you take off and get on pad no more problems.
