water, fuel problems

i have a 1997 225 v6 about 700 hrs , recently got a large shot of water in engine,[ filter bowl on engine was fuel of water only!] i have cleaned tanks, changed water/ separator filters and drained carb bowls, also after engine shut down i ran on portable tank for about 30 min, that had pre mix in it, after many short starts it runs fair for about 5 minutes then shuts down , plugs have about 10 hours on them, they were oil fowled, after cleaning same thing happens also have dried gas varnish streaks running out of carb from behind choke? wasn't there before? any suggestions would be appreciated . thank you for taking the time to read this... urchin

carb needs a rebuild and the fuel pumps could be bad
