Thanks for your reply regarding my outdrive issue. The end caps did not leak any water and I made sure the gasket and plates were installed properly along with the cork and rubber o ring seal that sit on the on the trunion of the outdrive. I know if you install them improperly you get no circulation. I did have circulation for about 15 minutes and then all the crap started with no water circulation. As for the grease zirt in the front of the drive, I see a plastic plug in the area you mentioned. I think it is threaded, is this the location of the grease zirt, under that plastic plug? Thanks so much for your reply, As I mentioned this outdrive sat in my garage for 2+ years, could the time sitting have been a factor in the waterpump failure? Or could the mechanic who did the work done the installation improperly? Also, what are the symtoms of a weak or failing fuel pump?

Please don't use names just post a question.

Ok no drips from the end caps you must shoot the zerk in the front of the drive. That seals the swivel.

Post back after running it after shooting the zerk.

Ps it wasn't steam it was exhaust gas.

Make sure the drive is fully down when ever you run this drive.
